Account data: Your name and email address.

Story content: Prompts, characters, and generated stories you create in the studio.

Payment data: Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details. We receive confirmation of purchase and credit information.

Session data: We use an essential session cookie to keep you logged in and protect your account.

First-party usage events: We record key product actions with a random browser identifier so we can understand where the studio is helpful or confusing. These events do not include your name or email address.

Messages and invitations: If you contact us or invite someone to the studio, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, topic, message, and invitee email addresses. Contact requests also include related account and technical details, such as your user ID and IP address, when available.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Generate and store your storybooks.
• Process purchases and credit balances.
• Send account verification, password reset, security, and other essential service emails.
• Send invitations when you ask us to invite someone.
• Respond to support and billing messages.
• Send story reminders when your account email preference is turned on.
• Protect the service from abuse and keep it secure.
• Understand and improve the story-creation journey.

We share information with trusted vendors that help us run the service, such as:

• Payment processing providers.
• Hosting and storage providers.
• Google Workspace (Gmail), which processes sender and recipient details, message headers, and email content so we can send and manage service communications.
• Content generation providers that help create story text or images.

We share only what is necessary to provide the service and do not sell your information.

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on contractual and other appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

We use essential cookies to authenticate you and keep your session secure. These cookies are required for the app to function.

We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not run third-party analytics cookies. Our first-party usage measurement stores a random identifier in your browser’s local storage instead of a cookie.

We keep your name and email for as long as your account is active.

Generated stories are currently stored until you request deletion or we add self-service deletion tools.

We keep support communications, sent messages, and related delivery records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, operate and secure the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Email recipients may retain their own copies.

You can update your account information in the app. At this time, account deletion and bulk export tools are not yet available.

You can turn story reminder emails on or off in your account settings or use the unsubscribe link in those messages. This does not stop essential account or security emails.

If you would like to access or delete your data, contact us and we will do our best to help.

The Storybook Studio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
